time is flying...sam is 6 months!

sweet sammy is growing so fast and already 6 months old! he is a big boy and in the 95th percentile for height and weight. he eats everything and he loves spinach and potatoes...so we are hopeful we might actually have one child that will like vegetables.

winter in pdx

we had a white winter in portland with more snow storms than ever remembered at just above sea level. the boys embraced snow days and we played a lot outside and inside and celebrated with hot cocoa. sam started sitting up and loves to cruise around the house chasing after the boys.

sammy is 5 months

big island life is nice

we had the best time on the big island! a total treat to spend two weeks in paradise and we are already counting the days until we return. sunshine and pool-time mixed with tank tops and flip-flops is good living. jj joined us from NYC for a week and we compiled the essential yacht rock song list, hit the luau for new years where mak went up on stage to dance and played some cards. papa and nona arrived and we played dominos, ate papa's fine cooking and declared the big island the best.

santa!

two out of three on santa's lap! the boys have long lists for santa and mak is constantly keeping track of who has been good (mak) and who has been bad (ryder)...in his opinion. he thinks santa has a special telescope to watch all of the little boys and girls around the world.

florida trip

we had the best time in florida! bo and his dad went to the florida vs. florida state game at the swamp and the gators won. then we were off to st. augustine to a great condo on the beach. it was fabulous...walks on the beach, swimming in the pool and great food with nana and grandpa...with a highlight going to the gun and rod club's annual shrimp fry and osyter shuck. then we went to disney and stayed at the african safari hotel. the boys loved the bunk beds in the room and the visit with their cousins.
